Resin Flower Preservation Process & Timeline

Booking & Order Form: Reserve a flower preservation with a £25 deposit, an order form and postage/packaging details will then be sent to you. Please try to book early to reserve your spot as all spots are on a first come first serve basis!

Send Your Flowers: After booking your bouquet preservation, read our shipping instructions on how to package and ship your blooms safely. Drop off at my home studio in Newcastle Upon Tyne is also an option.

Delivery of Your Flowers: I will confirm your order choices with you and you can make any amends to your order if necessary. I then send an invoice for payment, for orders over £300 I offer a payment plan if needed.

Flower Drying: Your flowers will be carefully dried using silica crystals for approximately 2-4 weeks. Flowers must be fully dried before resin pours may begin so the flowers do not mould in the resin over time. Some flowers will change colour through the drying process - even when dried in our silica gel. Certain flower varieties will hold their colour and shape better than others, and some may brown and petals might become paper thin in the drying process.

Design: A design questionnaire is sent out to find out your preferences. I will use my own artistic style while taking into consideration the type of flowers and size of the moulds chosen in order to create a beautiful design. If you have specific inspo pics, layouts etc. you can send them and I will do my best to replicate and recreate from the photos.

Resin Casting: Your flowers will be transferred to a mould to create the desired shape and layout. Resin is poured in multiple layers to create a durable and visually stunning piece.

Finishing Touches: Once the resin has cured, the piece will be carefully removed from the mould. I'll add any necessary finishing touches, such as sanding, applying protective and shiny top coats.

Finished Pieces: I like to photograph every order before carefully packaging them for delivery or collection. Your beautifully preserved flowers are ready to be admired and cherished for years to come.

Timeframe: Once your flowers are with us, pieces are usually ready within 6 months from final payment. This time frame may increase slightly with larger order sizes and during wedding season

Every resin flower preservation is handmade with love in Ponteland, Newcastle Upon Tyne.

Flower preservation in resin is such a beautiful way to keep your flowers living on forever and turn them into a piece of art. Resin preservation does not just need to be for weddings! Any flower that holds a special memory would be meaningful to preserve.

Epoxy Resin is a type of solid plastic (poured in liquid form and solidifies/cures over time) that can encapsulate your flowers in a crystal clear coating.

Handmade resin art is just that, an art. Small imperfections, bubbles, layer lines & transparent spots are sometimes unavoidable. I take the utmost care and time when creating and preserving your custom piece to reduce imperfections, however please expect your piece to be what I like to call ‘perfectly imperfect’.

I am currently accepting both fresh and pre-dried flowers for preservation, preserving your flowers nationwide across the UK. My home studio is located in Ponteland, Newcastle Upon Tyne and drop offs can be arranged as well as shipping your flowers.

“My piece of art is flawless. I’m so happy I get to treasure my wedding flowers forever. Thank you so much!”
